Misato Head Chef has over 30 years sushi experience



Yukio Fujimoto, the Head Sushi Chef at Misato Sushi & Grill, has more than thirty years experience as a sushi chef.
He graduated from Tsuji Academy cooking & confectionery school in March 1982 in Japan. Then he has built up his skills and working up the ranks, and was Lead chef for Terasaki Shokuhin Sangyo Co. Ltd in Japan until August 2004. Then he moved to Canada.
After arriving in Calgary, Canada, He has worked over several famous Japanese restaurants. Later he joined Misato Japanese Restaurant, and was promoted to be head chef.

Misato Open Hours


“Mi-sato”, from the Japanese words for “beautiful” and “home village”. These words embody the core of our restaurant’s philosophy—hospitality.
Our current business hours are from 11:30 am to 2 pm, during Tuesday to Friday, and from 4:30 pm to 9:15 pm from Tuesday to Friday. On the weekend, we currently open for dinner only, that's from 4:30 pm to 9:15 pm.
